Title: What Happened to Nissan Forklift?
I am happy to report the company is alive and well it just has a new name UniCarriers.
The name change has come about with the company being sold to Hitachi and in turn sold to a Mitsubishi consortium as a part of the original sale. The Nissan forklift name could only be used in promtional branding until March 2016. Nissan sold the forklift manufacturing component of their business, not the brand name that is synonymous with their automotive endeavours.
The most important fact is that they are one of the last to manufacture equipment in Japan, at their Shiga factory complex (this plant produces over 28,000 units per year). UniCarriers complete the majority of their research and development in a facility close to Tokyo.
UniCarriers manufacturing is not limited to Japan. There are an additional five factories that are located in Europe, the U.S.A and China
Unicarriers have grown to be one of the leading forklift manufacturers providing high standard forklifts to over 120 countries for nearly six decades.
As you may know well, the heritage of UniCarriers began when the first Nissan Forklift rolled off the assembly line at Nissan Motor’s Totsuka Plant on August 25th 1957. Since its debut, Nissan Forklift had been a successful forklift brand as part of Nissan Motor Co., making full use of the technologies derived from the automotive industry.
Nissan Forklifts were rebranded to UniCarriers in 2015. Th product range expanded and delivers a comprehensive range of materials handling equipment, which includes engine forklifts from 1.5 to 30 tonne, electric counterbalance forklifts 1 to 3.5 tonne and a full range of warehouse equipment - reach trucks, order pickers and turret trucks.
Though the name may seem new, at it`’`s core it is the same as Nissan Forklift - “keeping the customer’s operation on the move”.
Lencrow Materials Handling is the authorised distributor for UniCarriers in Australia offering sales of new equipment and spare parts for Nissan Forklift as well as UniCarriers. With most genuine parts at better prices than inferior aftermarket copies.
Lencrow deliver 100% aftermarket forklift service and repairs. The team of technicians are highly trained and friendly with fully equipped service vehicles. The service vans collect real time service record updates and reports.
So to answer the question is Nissan forklift gone? The new direction is only the beginning! Still delivering A Lifetime of Trusted Value.
Title: Lencrow Is Not Over the Hill Yet; We Look Forward To The Future!
A Satisfied Customer is The Best Business Strategy of All - Michael LeBoeuf
Lencrow Materials Handling is committed to delivering a service experience, from start to finish, a holistic range of materials handling solutions coupled with professional support. This month marks the start of our 39th anniversary and provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the changes that have influenced the services we offer today.
We opened our doors in 1976 when forklifts were very uncommon and at the time only had a few clients who used our hire service regularly. It wasn`’`t until the 1980`’`s that forklifts were popularised and used in different industries more frequently. Looking at most businesses today, materials handling equipment has become a necessary component of daily operations, whether it is using a manual pallet jack for carting stock or a reach stacker to unload container shipments. It`’`s an industry in Australia that has established itself in the last 30 years and is now crucial to sustaining our nation.
The first forklifts that we first owned were very basic machines. They had manual transmissions, manual steering and leaked oil - even the brand new ones. The sophistication of products today, application of technology and design ingenuity is so advanced compared to what was available. Watching these developments has certainly inspired the services we offer today. Today`’`s manufacturers offer products that can be definitively applied to one specific application in any industry. Purpose fit equipment has significantly influenced the services we provide as a materials handling business.
Our service is to source these products and deliver better solutions to you. Our accountability is key to the service we provide to you. The products we use in our own hire fleet gives us the knowledge and experience that we want to share with you. This experience is also applied when we work closely with suppliers to continuously improve the products available to you. Our materials handling service is backed with 100% aftersales service and support because we use the products too.
Lencrow Materials Handling in essence is traditional and based on family values. Our vision encompasses excellence in service through providing materials handling solutions. We wouldn`’`t supply a product that we wouldn`’`t support or use ourselves. Delivering solutions and services that generate better results is the best outcome for the both of us. You value quality, support and service too. If you ever feel we can improve our services we will listen and find better solutions.
With this in mind we look forward to developing better services with you. Our plan is to improve connectivity so you have better access to services. Service when you need it.
Over the past 38 years our aim has been to be your one stop service for all your materials handling needs. We look forward to building this network with you.
